Drift Alignment

To avoid depending on Polaris beacon to navigate the Immaterium, a test was run substituting Drift Alignment for Polar Alignment.

The test was a failure

Stars were supposed to make V shaped trails that, after proper adjustment, would become straight lines. Straight lines is what we got all along. 125s shots were taken with the camera while the mount ship CG5 slew, 60s in each "direction".
After analysis, the engineers conclude that the test was not properly conducted. An initial step consisting of camera alignment to RA axis was not carried out properly. Rather, it was performaed in such a way that made the expected V shape become a straight lines. Another test will be run in the future.
