NGC7000
Warp storms, clouds, and moon light, all have been colluding to prevent us from making a jump. Indeed, only now, 7 months after the last jump, have we been able to resume the search for the Astronomican.
We have not wasted this opportunity.
The tech priests have re-used the technique of making lots of exposures. Thus, our systems have been able to cope with the volume of data - ca. 300Gb - and the processing power - dozens of cpu hours - required fot this jump. While the region our ship has crossed, near Deneb in Cygnus, had already been visited, the navigators are pleased. They have gotten from the tech priests a much better picture for their galaxy map than the one they already had, and thus we now have a clearer path towards Terra.
