A Failure Begs A Question

Unexpected. Results were utterly unexpected.

We made the jump to the Andromeda sector, but the engineers not only messed up with the mount ship, setting a time 2 hours off, they also missed mounting the Optolong L-Pro filter to the imaging equipment. The imaging session of M31 was cut short when these errors were detected, but the thing is, when results were processed by the technicians in the laboratories of the ship, an unexpected result emerged. Its not that it was good, but it was much better than expected.

This begs the question: do we need the Optolong L-Pro filter? A mission will be launched to answer the question.
